• Analytics: We use a self-hosted instance of Umami for website analytics. Umami is a privacy-focused tool that does not collect personal information or use cookies, helping us understand website traffic without compromising your privacy.
• Cookies: We use essential cookies solely for the purpose of keeping you logged into your account. These are necessary for the app to function securely.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve TimeLine COW.
• Process transactions and send you related information.
• Communicate with you, including responding to your comments and questions.
• Send you technical notices, updates, and administrative messages.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a few trusted third-party services to operate TimeLine COW:

• Payment Processors (Stripe & PayPal): If you subscribe to a Premium plan, your payment is processed by Stripe or PayPal. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card information. Your payment details are handled securely by them.
• Profile Pictures (Google & Gravatar): To display your profile picture, we may fetch it from your Google account or Gravatar, based on the email address you provide.

We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.

5. Microsoft Clarity

On our app dashboard (app.tlcow.com), we use Microsoft Clarity to better understand how our users interact with the service. Clarity is a tool that helps us see which features are being used, identify points of confusion, and improve the overall user experience. It captures anonymized session recordings and heatmaps. This data is used solely for product improvement and is not shared with any third parties for marketing purposes. This tool is not used on our main marketing website (tlcow.com).

6. Your Data Rights and Choices

• Account Deletion: You can request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. For now, please send your deletion request to [email protected]. We are working on an automated deletion feature that will be available in your account settings soon.
• Data Export: You have the right to get an export of your data. Please email us at [email protected], and we will provide you with a JSON file containing all of your timeline content.
• Search Engine Visibility: By default, your public timeline may be indexed by search engines. You have full control over this and can disable search engine indexing from your app dashboard settings at any time.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by sending an email to the address associated with your account.
